The Chancellery of the Prime Minister hosted a meeting of Minister of Science and Higher Education Marcin Kulasek with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and representatives of the world of science during which issues concerning solutions for the development of Polish science and the role of science in the development leap of our country were discussed. The meeting was also attended by Senate Speaker Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska and Finance Minister Andrzej Domański. The meeting was held as part of a broader discussion on the development of the Polish economy and deregulation. Earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke with entrepreneurs to discuss proposed changes to simplify doing business. The prime minister declared that speaking one voice is very important in this effort.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a coordinated effort to simplify economic regulations. This process can also affect the science sector, facilitating cooperation between universities and companies and accelerating the implementation of research results into business. Prime Minister Tusk spoke about how crucial cooperation between science and business is to the future of the entire economy when announcing the development strategy “Poland - the Year of Breakthrough” on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He and Finance Minister Andrzej Domański presented Poland's development plan for the coming year in which science will be one of the main pillars.
Friday's meeting at the Prime Minister's Office was an opportunity to engage in concrete discussions on the role of science in economic processes and the possibility of closer cooperation between universities and the private sector. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education can play an important role in developing solutions that will strengthen the position of Polish businesses in international markets.
The meeting, all the more important because it was held with the participation of representatives of the world of science, showed that the future of the Polish economy depends on effective cooperation between science and business.
