Polish start-up among the winners of the competition organised by the World Tourism Organisation!

Healing solutions. Tourism challenge

The competition has identified innovative projects that can help the tourism industry to reduce the impact of the crisis caused by the pandemic. The winning Polish company WAAM from Lublin, has submitted a project of a decontamination cabin, which can be widely used in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic in tourism. Due to the special nozzles included in the cabin, it is able to disinfect a person, thus allowing to minimise the risk of an infection and further transmission of the virus.

UNWTO has received over 1000 applications from over 100 countries. The 9 finalists were selected in three categories - informed Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO Secretary General during a digital presentation.
