20.04.2020
“Transfer your company on-line! Earn on E-Commerce” is a government business project aimed towards micro, small and medium entrepreneurs who run stationary stores. The project intends to encourage companies which have not carried out e-commerce sales to engage in cooperation with internet sales platforms. The project partners include the biggest Polish on-line sales operators.
The objective of the campaign it not only to encourage on-line sales, but also to increase the entrepreneurs' awareness of the possibilities for developing their own companies. The initiative is organised by the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the Industrial Development Agency.
- Considering the current situation caused by the Coronavirus, when we all need to comply with the restrictions and #StayHome, on-line shopping has become an effective and - above all - safe alternative. That statement applies in particular to the products which are not currently available in stationary stores, but also to shopping which we may, but do not have to, do outside of our homes. Due to internet sales and the work of couriers, e-entrepreneurs can reach their clients with mutual benefits. A number of small, medium and large companies already apply the solutions included in the Anti-Crisis Shield introduced by the Polish government. These solutions allow to protect jobs and maintain financial liquidity. One of the methods for survive the crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic may be to bring businesses on-line. That is beneficial not only to the entrepreneur, who will be able to continue selling his or her products, but also to the citizens. Purchases can be made in an easy and fast manner, and - most importantly - without the need to leave home - says Jadwiga Emilewicz, the Minister of Development.
The partners of the initiative include the e-commerce leaders - Allegro, OLX and the Polish Development Fund which provides substantive support. Allegro and OLX have prepared, among others, special welcome packages for new business users, providing access to webinars and dedicated sales team support. Industrial Development Agency is open for cooperation with other sales platforms, which may obtain new users due to the campaigns and allow micro, small and medium entrepreneurs to extend the scope of their businesses.
- Small and medium enterprises constitute a particularly important sector of the Polish economy which has been significantly disrupted at present. Its regeneration may be facilitated by the use of new technologies, among others. The campaign encouraging entrepreneurs to start offering the services and sales which had been only available in small stores to the on-line market responds to the current needs of today's consumers who are increasingly using e-commerce solutions, while on the other hand it provides an opportunity for the micro and small enterprises to develop. That is only one of the numerous economic anti-crisis proposals made under the patronage of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy - stresses Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
Industrial Development Agency has launched a website dedicated to the initiative which provides information regarding, among others, the benefits of running an on-line sales platform and a tutorial on how to begin and what tools to use:

The initiative is also substantively supported by the Kraków Technology Park.
- The project is based on a simple idea. E-commerce is currently a thriving sales method in Poland - over 28 M Polish citizens shop on-line. We wish to provide an opportunity to small stores which do not currently carry out e-commerce sales, but have all the necessary skills to do so and may start benefiting from that type of sales. We have created a tutorial for the people who do not know how to begin. We have also invited to well-known marketplaces and we hope that new partners will join us in the future - says Paweł Kolczyński, Vice-President of the Management Board of the Industrial Development Agency.
- New technologies have always been considered an essential component of the development of a strong, modern state. “Considering the current situation, in which we all face challenges posed by the pandemic, they have proved more useful than ever before. We have always supported small companies and start-ups - we cooperate with them on a daily basis. Our presence in a project dedicated specifically for them was not to be missed.” - adds Justyna Orłowska, the Prime Minister's Plenipotentiary for GovTech.
The campaign in carried out under the patronage of GovTech Poland, the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
