The new benefit in the amount of approx. PLN 888 net will be transferred to over 9.8 million of retired persons and pensioners. The cost of payment of single cash benefits amounts to 10.8 billion zloty. What is important, no application for the “Retirement Pension+” benefit will have to be submitted – money will be paid ex officio in the form in which the retirement pension is currently received. No deductions or enforcement will be made on the amount of the benefit and it will not be included in the income.

 “Retirement Pension+” will cover retirement pensions and pensions in the universal system, retirement pensions and pensions of farmers, uniformed services, bridging retirement pensions, pre-retirement benefits, social benefits, teacher compensatory benefits and war-disability and military pensions. The thirteen retirement pension will be also given to persons receiving the parental supplementary benefit “Mama 4+”, if they have the right to this benefit granted on 30 April.

– “Retirement pension+” meets the Poles’ expectations. It is confirmed by the research conducted by the Public Opinion Research Center, which in March this year asked Poles to assess the so-called: New PiS Five. And even though all announced solutions enjoy a favourable social response, “Retirement Pension+” is supported by as many as 84 percent of all respondents. This is the best result among all proposals of the New Five – points out the Minister, Elżbieta Rafalska.

The majority of benefits, as indicated by the Head of the Ministry of Family, will be paid with the retirement pension or pension due in May. However, some persons may receive the benefit as soon as in April, since 1 May, which is the deadline for paying certain benefits, is a non-business day. Whereas, some agricultural benefits are paid once a quarter and in such cases the beneficiaries will receive the “Retirement Pension+” not sooner than in June.
