The indicator of the indexation of pension insurance premiums has been the highest for years

I have signed the announcement of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy on the indicator of the indexation of pension insurance premiums for 2018. It is 109.2 and it is one of the highest rates in recent years – Minister Elżbieta Rafalska announced during the meeting with journalists held on Tuesday.
The contributions paid to ZUS (Social Security Service) are subject to annual indexation, i.e. multiplied by the valorisation index.
– I have signed the announcement of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy on the indicator of the indexation of pension insurance premiums for 2018. Not valorisation, which will be in the next year of the benefit, but contributions to pension insurance and the indicator is 109.2. This is one of the highest indicators in recent years – minister Elżbieta Rafalska told during the meeting with journalists held on Tuesday at the MRPiPS headquarters. The head of the ministry added that last time such high rates were recorded was in 2007 and 2008 (respectively 112.85 and 116.26).
As the minister explained, it denotes that "all our accumulated funds, all our contributions, will be valorised, i.e. raised by 9.2 percent."
– Will anyone please indicate to me a banking institution where we could place our own savings so well and so securely? Those people who have the largest capital have a chance for a higher retirement in the next year – said Minister Elżbieta Rafalska.
The indicator of the indexation of pension insurance premiums for 2017 amounted to PLN 108.68. For comparison, in 2014 it was 102.06.
