In his speech, President Andrzej Duda highlighted the fact that the meeting was held on the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. “You are a part of the history of 100 years of independence. You have lived together most of those 100 years. This is truly exceptional”, he said.
“I wish the deep respect and esteem for the elderly that were typical of the pre-war and post-war Poland continued to be our national features”, said Minister Elżbieta Rafalska during the ceremony.
“Every age has its advantages. Although less numerous in the older age, they are absolutely inestimable, unique and hard to gain. They include rich life experience that cannot be bought in a hurry, professional experience, competencies and time that runs at a different pace”, added the Minister.
