Meeting a delegation from the Chinese Parliament
01.07.2019
Social assistance, aid for senior citizens and families, health and safety at work - these and other issues were discussed by Deputy Minister Kazimierz Kuberski with representatives of the National People’s Congress Social Development Affairs Committee.
The visit was initiated by the Chinese party, who wanted to learn about Polish solutions in the area of social assistance, aid for families and senior citizens and child protection. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy departments of international cooperation, labour law and social assistance and integration.
He Yiting, leader of the delegation, thanked for the possibility to learn about Polish experiences, which will be useful in implementing reforms in China. He was particularly interested in the organisation of the social assistance system in Poland - in terms of legislation, task delegation, financing, available assistance and its beneficiaries.
He also asked about assistance to the homeless, persons in a difficult life situation and senior citizens. Apart from assistance to the most needy, the Chinese party was also interested in Polish solutions addressed to the elderly, such as the Senior+ or Care 75+ programmes.
Today’s meeting was one of many visits of Chinese delegations to our Ministry, the purpose of which is to exchange experiences between the two countries, on the central and regional levels. This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the People’s Republic of China.
