President signed an amendment to the act protecting temporary workers

08.05.2017

Today, Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, signed an amendment to the act on temporary workers.

The draft was prepared by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy after consultation with social partners, the National Labour Inspectorate and representatives of temporary-work agencies.

The most important change is to prevent abuse of employment time limits. Temporary-work agency will be able to send temporary workers to one company for no longer than 18 months in three years. The hirer will also not be able to entrust a temporary worker with the same work as performed by own employee who was released for reasons beyond his/her control.
